Discover how Tremclad, commonly recognized as an economical paint option, can be transformed into a viable automotive paint. I convinced a Home Depot employee to customize the tint for me using a flat white paint, even though their tint system wouldn't accept Tremclad - faked with a competitor's paint UPC code!. With the paint ready, I’m set to experiment on an old car hood, using a mix of about 40% lacquer thinner to prepare it for spraying. While I'm not exactly Robbie Leighton, the results are surprisingly impressive. All this achieved with just about $4 of materials and a little bit of time. Now, it's off to paint the rest of the project!
